Labyrinths

This collection of desktop labyrinths is handcrafted in porcelain and carefully carved by hand.

I have always been drawn to the beauty of geometric patterns. Working with porcelain allows me to slowly carve these forms into the clay, one line at a time, letting the rhythm of the process guide the piece.

Each labyrinth and begins as a simple porcelain form, which is then hand carved before being fired in the kiln. The process is slow and meditative, and every piece carries small variations that come from being made by hand.

For me, these pieces are an invitation to pause, to follow the lines with your eyes or your fingers, and to enjoy a small moment of quiet attention.
